BLOXHUB Science Forum: How the built environment shapes our lives
March 5 @ 15:00 - 17:00
HOW THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT SHAPES OUR LIVES
This spring BLOXHUB opens its doors, marking a new era in innovating sustainable urbanization across architecture, urban development, construction and digitization. Join us on March 5, and let us introduce you to the BLOXHUB Science Forum, BLOXHUB’s cross-disciplinary industrial research network.
BLOXHUB Science Forum provides a cross-disciplinary third space for academics and professionals to explore common ground. We facilitate events that frame the right problems and questions on the road to sustainable cities.
At this BLOXHUB Science Forum afternoon session, you will meet Sarah W. Goldhagen, a New York-based leading architecture critic. Sarah will share her thoughts on how the built environment shapes our lives. After the presentation, there is room for discussion in a workshop setting, followed by drinks. The event provides an excellent opportunity to meet fellow researchers, PhDs, and professionals that share an interest in working on a sustainable future for cities.
Sarah W. Goldhagen
With her newly published book Welcome to your world – how the built environment shapes our lives, Sarah W. Goldhagen shows how the design of urban architecture is essential for the well-being of its users. Drawing on new discoveries within cognitive psychology and neuroscience, she provides us with a better understanding of how architectural design directly affects us.
