#SmarterCitiesNOW: A Nordic/UK Sustainable Urban Collaboration Forum

What is #SmarterCitiesNOW?
#SmarterCitiesNOW is a UK/Nordic ‘Sharing Cities’ Collaboration forum, focused on sustainable urban development, led by Tech Nordic Advocates in collaboration with Tech London Advocates, Ravensbourne, the London Mayor’s Office, Future Cities Catapult, BLOXHUB, LOOP CITY, ZUMTOBEL, DONG energy, CLEAN, Copenhagen Capacity, Invest in Denmark and many other UK and Nordic sustainable urban development front runners.#SmarterCitiesNOWbrings together sustainable urban development pioneers, thinkers and doers, including startups, SMEs, architects, designers, academics, tech companies and policy makers – who have expressed an interest in participating in a continuous sustainable urban collaboration forum to knowledge share, learn from each other (what works/doesn’t), collaborate on projects, smart/data solution and urban data sharing platform development and new business models – generally progress sustainable urban development together – as opposed to reinventing the same wheel in different cities.
#SmarterCitiesNOW follows a structured work programme, chosen by the #SmarterCitiesNOW Forum participants focused on: 1) Innovation projects; 2) Smart solutions; 3) Data solutions, 4) Urban data sharing platforms and 5) Digital competencies across 8 Sustainability themes: 1) Sustainability; 2) Construction & Tech; 3) Transport & Mobility; 4) Engineering & Tech; 5) Digital infrastructure/IOT; 6) Culture; 7) Public Health/People/Communities; 8) Experience.
The Forum meets bi-annually in London/Copenhagen, respectively, to review progress on work programme activities, knowledge share, open up new opportunities, initiatives and partnerships and plan the next six months’ work programme.
#SmarterCitiesNOW BLOXHUB 11-12 October Copenhagen is the second event of the #SmarterCitiesNOWprogramme. The event progresses the #SmarterCitiesNOW agenda and work programme kicked off at Ravensbourne, 11-12 April 2017.
