About the C40 summit
The 2019 C40 Mayors Summit will be held in Copenhagen on 9th-12th October.
The C40 Mayors Summit is C40’s milestone event, serving as a unique forum for cities to present the innovative actions they have taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve climate resilience; influence decisions makers – from mayors to CEOs and national leaders – to take the bold and urgent action needed to keep global temperature rise to below 1.5 C and inspire participates and citizens to take climate action in their own lives.
1.000-1.200 city delegates will participate in the Summit and around 21.000 citizens will be engaged in side events and activities (including the Cultural Night the 11th of October) related to the Summit.
The City of Copenhagen & C40 wish to engage citizens, organizations, companies etc. at the summit with several side events. This will show Copenhagen as a living, green and sustainable city towards the many international delegates, companies, media, tourists etc. who are in the city in connection to the Summit.
C40 and the City of Copenhagen invite members of BLOXHUB to contribute with side-events and activities during the Summit. The joint headline for side-events and activities is ’Live like tomorrow’. Copenhageners are already today showing the way forward through how we live, eat, move. We want to give room to the magic of Copenhagen and show how climate action becomes everyday life while being open and curious about how things are done in other cities of the world. We expect to open for proposals end-march and will provide more information on the platform and timeline to all who are interested in participating. BLOXHUB members will be given the opportunity to take part in side events and contribute to the different tracks at the summit.
