Are cities for people? Meet BLOXHUB at Folkemødet

June 14, 2017 @ 08:00 - June 17, 2017 @ 17:00

Are cities for people? Can smart technologies make it more attractive to live small villages? And how does the sharing economy affect the way we live in cities? These are just some of the questions we ask in our debates at this year’s Folkemøde (the peoples political festival in Denmark). See where you can find us:

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly – Debate on sharing economy

BLOXHUB Mornings has arrived at Folkemødet! This time with the Good, the Bad and the Ugly – a debate on the many faces of the sharing economy!

How does the sharing economy affect the way we live in cities? Will city-life only be better  – or does sharing economy has ugly faces as well? How does it look for a small society such as Bornholm with successful tourism? The sharing economy has come to stay, so how do we bring its best faces forward?

As always at BLOXHUB Mornings, we start with coffee and croissants for everyone. We hope to see you there!

Anette Galskjøt, CEO, International Federation for Housing and Planning

 “Smart” villages and rural districts

The Smart City concept has gradually become well-known, but most often it is in the context of life in the big cities. But is it possible to transfer digital smart city solutions from bigger cities to the Danish rural areas, or are there other needs? How do we exploit our technological possibilities, so that life in the smaller cities and rural districts become easier, better and smarter?
