Digital Futures: Big Data Roundtable
August 17, 2017 @ 14:30 - 17:00
Big Data is a buzzword, but how can data be used to understand and adapt the built environment to its users? And how does data become a tangible tool for businesses to create more sustainable solutions?
In this session, the focus will primarily be on data that is generated and collected from a building or an area after the building phase, i.e. data that is included in smart building or smart city services.
- 14.30-15.00: Welcome and presentation of Big Data cases by Kaj Grønbæk, Professor, the Alexandra Institute
- 15.00-15.40: Workshop session 1 (idea generation)
- 15.40-15.50: Break
- 15.50-16.45: Workshop session 2 (narrow down ideas + organisation/time/roles)
- 16.45-17.00: Wrap up and thank you for today
This roundtable event is part of the Digital Futures for the Built Environment program run by the Alexandra Institute and BLOXHUB
