Science To Go: The infrastructure of collaborative innovation
June 3 @ 16:00 - 18:00Free
BLOX is a built manifestation of the creative ecology of Copenhagen, designed to provide the social infrastructure for collaborative innovation. Intended to be a ‘machine for opportunity’, one year on, what have we learned about this machine and how can we fine tune it for the future? What is the relationship between social and spatial architectures in the quest for collaboration? How can we design conditions for innovation that is both bottom-up and top-down, organic and strategic? How do we make sure to match the right collaboration partners, e.g. through one-on-one meetings, problem-based workshops, accelerator and innovator programs, conferences, competitions…? And what is the respective role of the private, public, and non-profit sectors in facilitating innovation?
To discuss these questions and more we welcome three keynotes from different backgrounds:
Jonathan Schmidt, PhD candidate at CBS and DAC, will discuss his research into the social and spatial infrastructures of BLOX, examining the relationship between innovation and collaboration.
Stine Degnegaard, Ph.D., Director at Deloitte, will discuss her work with co-creation and designing for multi-stakeholder initiatives when tackling wicked problems.
Dan Hill, Director of Strategic Design at Vinnova, will discuss strategic innovation for complex problems in the Nordic context and creating systems for change.
