                       The bigger picture of urbanization and how it is generating unprecedented
opportunities for green growth and clean tech business solutions

11:40 – 11:55 Case 1: A Danish solution, to a very British problem: Dealing with rain in our Cities
                       Henrik Bjoljahn, Head of Department, EnviDan and Rasmus Traberg, Senior
                       Advisor, Danish Embassy in London.
                       From working with Cities in Denmark, EnviDan is now looking at international
markets to continue their growth. In the UK, the Trade Councils’ “The liveable City”
concept provides a platform for accessing key decision makers in cities and market
intelligence.

11:55 – 12:10 Case 2: A Danish approach to renovation of traditional neighborhoods in China’s
                       mega city Beijing Annemarie Riis, Head of Division, The Municipality of
                       Copenhagen, Finance Administration
Beijing and Copenhagen municipality have agreed to use Danish experiences and
expertise to modernize a traditional area (hutong) in Beijing. The presentation will
explain the approach and what Denmark has to offer China in terms of creating
modern and livable cities – while at the same time maintaining historical charm.

12:10 – 12:25 Case 3: Exporting the Scandinavian Welfare Model – Danish Architecture in a
                       North American Context Louis Becker, Design Principal and Partner at Henning
                       Larsen Architects
The need for sustainable city developments in New York and Toronto and first-hand
knowledge of exporting Danish architecture to the North American market.
