SUMMARY:Online Roundtable on Developing City Districts for Children
DESCRIPTION:According to UNICEF\, “Every child has the right to grow up in a place where they are respected\, valued and feel safe\, where they have access to basic services and can play\, learn\, grow in a clean and healthy environment where their voice is heard and matters”. Communities are crucial for our development\, well-being\, and health – not least the children’s. And activity and play are crucial for children’s physical and cognitive development and interaction with others. So\, can we develop city districts\, from a child’s perspective\, and supports communities for all ages\, and how can Danish and Chinese companies support each other in this regard?  \nAt this Roundtable\, we will discuss and share knowledge and ideas on:  \n\nHow to develop city districts to be experienced as friendly from a child’s perspective? \nWhether\, by establishing a city district that meets the children’s wishes and needs\, we can strengthen the community among all inhabitants? \nWhat additional benefits there can be from this approach? \n\nPROGRAM \nWelcome and intro\, Lotte Breengaard\, Program Director\, BLOXHUB\nIntroduction of Innovation Centre Denmark\, Martin Hoxer\, Executive Director\, ICDK Shanghai\n”Tour de table”\, Presentation of all\nIntroduction to the theme of child friendly cities\nPerspectives on the idea “urban development from a child´s perspective in China”\nDiscussion:\n \n\nHow to develop a city district to be experienced as friendly from child perspective \nWhether\, by establishing a city district that meets the children’s wishes and needs\, we can strengthen the community among all inhabitants \nWhat additional benefits there can be from this approach \n\nHow can Danish and Chinese companies support each other with this approach?\nSum up\, Lotte Breengaard and Martin Hoxer  \nPlease contact Program Director Lotte Christina Breengaard if you would like to join:\nm   +45 2268 4643\ne    lcb@bloxhub.org

SUMMARY:Online Roundtable on Multifunctional Spaces for Children
DESCRIPTION: There are more and more of us in the cities and limited space is very often a challenge. The group of citizens that share the city’s space is diverse\, there are so many wishes and dreams\, and yet so much space is designed for one purpose only. Creating space for children in dense cities is often a tricky task and we need innovative solutions to make our cities child friendly. How can Danish and Chinese companies support each other in this regard?  \nAt this Roundtable\, we will discuss and share knowledge and ideas on: How can we design space for children that can be used by other groups of users in Denmark and China? Overall\, we will discuss how building several functionalities into one space can solve the urban space challenge\, and playgrounds are just an example.  \nPROGRAM \nWelcome and intro\, Lotte Breengaard\, Program Director\, BLOXHUB\nIntroduction of Innovation Centre Denmark\, Martin Hoxer\, Executive Director\, ICDK Shanghai\n”Tour de table”\, Presentation of all\nIntroduction to multifunctional use of urban space\nIntroduction to urban space challenge for children in China and the willingness to share seen from Chinese perspective\nRoundtable discussion:  \n\nCan we solve urban space challenges by building several functionalities into one space? \nHow can we design space for children that can be used by other groups of users? \n\nHow can Danish and Chinese companies support each other with this approach?\nSum up\, Lotte Breengaard and Martin Hoxer  \nPlease contact Program Director Lotte Christina Breengaard if you would like to join:\nm   +45 2268 4643\ne    lcb@bloxhub.org

SUMMARY:Building Skins as a New Sustainable Approach Towards Climate Change
DESCRIPTION:Climate change presents our urban environment and buildings with a wide range of challenges\, and we need to adapt the way we plan and build with these challenges in mind to be able to secure the future and livability of our cities and buildings. \nGreen building skins can be one part of a broader range of actions to counter climate change. They not only provide solutions within the context of climate change – such as reduction of heat island effect\, extended water retention\, and rainwater collection – they also o er significant added value in improving microclimate and increasing biodiversity in urban areas. \nWerner Sobek and BLOXHUB\, Urban Partnerships would like to invite you to a 1-day workshop where we zoom in on how building skins can be used to handle climate change and bring about a significant reduction of the ecological impact of our buildings. \nAt the workshop we will discuss challenges and opportunities and identify ideas\, concepts\, and solutions related to how building skins of the future should perform to support a successful sustainable transition\, that takes into account more extreme environmental conditions. \nThe workshop is organized by BLOXHUB and will be a facilitated process with a mix of inspirational talks\, interdisciplinary group discussions\, and co-creation sessions. \n___ \nPlease contact Program Director at BLOXHUB Lotte Breengaard for further information regarding content and registration; lcb@bloxhub.org / +45 22 68 46 43

SUMMARY:Multifunctional\, Safe & Resilient Playgrounds in Urban Areas - How to?
DESCRIPTION:How do we think beyond limited space making dense urban areas vibrant\, desirable\, sustainable\, and resilient with a full range of amenities? Together with Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg von Berlin and WE BUILD DENMARK we would like to invite you to a 1-day workshop where we will take a deep dive into the overall challenge of how playgrounds can be designed to be inclusive\, climate-resilient\, clean\, safe\, open\, accommodating different groups of users\, without limiting the original function of providing a protected space for children. The quest calls for creativity and the ability to design for multifunctional purposes. \nAt the workshop we will look at the challenge from four different perspectives: \n\nInclusive & barrier-free: How can playgrounds be designed inclusively and barrier-free with the involvement of different user groups – children included?\nClimate-resilient & sustainable: How can playgrounds be designed to be climate-resilient to mitigate the effects of climate change\, preserve biodiversity and allow for usability despite climatic changes?\nClean & open: How can playgrounds be designed using technical\, design and organizational elements to promote an individual sense of cleanliness and safety so that the users feel comfortable?\nFlexible & versatile: Which technical\, design\, and organizational measures can be implemented for playgrounds\, facilitating use at different times and periods without limiting the original purpose of playgrounds to be a safe space for children?\n\nThe workshop is organized by BLOXHUB and will be a facilitated process with a mix of inspirational talks\, interdisciplinary group discussions\, and co-creation sessions. Based on a specific yet representative case provided by Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg von Berlin the aim of the workshop is to generate ideas and prototype solutions which can be implemented and scaled to other areas. Workshop participants consist of members from the BLOXHUB ecosystem and selected stakeholders from Berlin to ensure a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to the subject. Each group will work with one of the four perspectives and cross-pollination between the groups is included to make sure that the workshop output includes all the elements needed to solve the complex challenge. \nWould you like to join?\nPlease contact Program Director at BLOXHUB Lotte C. SUMMARY:A Roadmap for a Circular Economy within the Built Environment
DESCRIPTION:“Risk-sharing” is\, again and again\, being discussed as a critical factor in accelerating the Circular Economy within the building industry\, thus going from pilot projects to mainstream. But is there a need for the industry to broaden its understanding of the ability and willingness to work with risks in its business models? \nTogether with SKANSKA HQ (SE)\, The Bridge by Altitude (SE)\, WE BUILD DENMARK and The Embassy of Denmark in Sweden and the Embassy’s Design Impact Hub\, BLOXHUB would like to invite you to a workshop on Monday the 29th of August from 9:00 – 16:00 at BLOXHUB in Copenhagen. \nThe case of the workshop will be a specific case of Skanska from Sweden\, which will undergo the focus of the workshop. To stimulate the workshop\, we will include the incentives of an international insurance company that works with risk-sharing analysis within the building industry\, in the workshop. The workshop will use this insurance company’s perspective on integrating a risk framework into a business model to develop new business models within Circular Economy in the built environment. \nThe workshop is a facilitated process with a mix of inspirational talks\, interdisciplinary group discussions\, and co-creation sessions. Workshop participants consist of a wide range of stakeholders within the built environment – decision-makers\, practitioners\, and researchers – to ensure a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to the subject. \nWould you like to join?\nShould you have any questions or would you like to join please do not hesitate to contact Program Manager at BLOXHUB Torben Krab\, at +45 51624031 / tkr@bloxhub.org

SUMMARY:Værdiskabelse gennem samarbejde i byggeriet

SUMMARY:Building the Infrastructure for the Future of Mobility
DESCRIPTION:FULLY BOOKED\nThe vast majority of existing infrastructure is not ready for the future of mobility. Neither if the majority of the mobility operating patterns remain based on car use\, nor if our mobility patterns change to a more sustainable way of transportation. In both scenarios our existing infrastructure is insufficient but at this Roundtable\, we will focus on what the infrastructure should look like if we want to push or nudge the sustainable mobility agenda. \nHow can private actors such as architects\, engineers\, urban planners\, etc. influence decision-makers; governments\, politicians\, and authorities to set high standards that accommodate different needs and make infrastructure more efficient\, equitable\, sustainable\, and spatially attractive while improving public health? How can the private actors push and partake in an integrated vision of how to equip the infrastructure of the future and thus shape the environment through the choice of mobility? \nWe invite you to participate in a 2-hour BLOXHUB Roundtable where we will discuss approaches and partnerships models that open up the possibility for the private sector within the built environment to have a greater influence on how infrastructural planning is developed and implemented. \nROUNDTABLE PROGRAM \n14:30 Welcome and intro\, Lotte C. Breengaard\, Program Director\, BLOXHUB\n14:40 ”Tour de table”\, Presentation\, All\n14:50 Designing streets for the future of sustainable urban mobility\, Robert Martin\, Architect & Ph.D. in future urban mobility\, Head of Mobility\, JAJA Architects\n15:00 Discussion\n– How can we drive the transition towards more efficient\, equitable\, sustainable\, and spatially attractive mobility systems?\n– How can partnerships between non-traditional private actors develop new solutions for how infrastructural planning is developed and implemented?\n16:20 Sum up\, Lotte C. Breengaard & Robert Martin\n______ \nIf you have any questions\, please do not hesitate to reach out to Lotte Breengaard\, +45 2268 4643 / lcb@bloxhub.org \nNB: Registration takes place on a first-come\, first-served basis \nBLOXHUB Fæstningens Materialgård\, Frederiksholms Kanal 30\, 1220  Copenhagen\, meeting room Dallas.

SUMMARY:Blå biodiversitet og bæredygtig byudvikling
SUMMARY:Et meningsfuldt liv hele livet Trivselsfremmende byudvikling for ældre
Instituttet for Fremtidsforskning.

SUMMARY:Can a High-quality Solution also be Sustainable and Profitable? Uncovering the Challenges in the Chinese Construction Industry
DESCRIPTION:BLOXHUB\, Innovation Centre Denmark | Shanghai\, and NISS (Nordic Innovation and Sustainable Shanghai) invite you to participate in a facilitated roundtable discussion uncovering the challenges facing the Chinese construction industry. Challenges which can be turned into business opportunities for Danish companies producing high-quality solutions within sustainable construction. \nThe Challenge\nChina has proposed ambitious action plans to reach CO2 emission peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. An estimated $46.6 trillion of investments in green and sustainable solutions is needed for China to reach carbon neutrality\, which corresponds to 10% of China’s annual investments. Additionally\, by 2030\, 70 percent of China’s population is expecting to live in cities\, which requires housing and infrastructure for an extra 300 million urban residents. Also\, in China\, construction have much shorter lifespans and maintenance costs for manual labour are far lower. \nThis calls for a shift in mindset within the Chinese construction industry; a shift towards the recognition that sustainable high-quality solutions pay off. \nJoin us in the discussion November 11 on how we convey the story that high-quality solutions are profitable in the long run and gain insights on what makes Danish sustainable solutions and collaborations attractive for the Chinese market. \nProgram  \n\nWelcome and introduction | by BLOXHUB\nPresentation of the challenge | by NISS\nExploring the challenge\nTour de table\nDiscussion of key points\nDiscussion of movements and new trends in the Chinese market and possible support | by ICDK\nSum up and next step | by BLOXHUB\, ICDK\, and NISS\n\n______ \nThe workshop is for BLOXHUB’s members who want to gain a foothold in the Chinese market.  \nPlease reach out to Program Director Lotte C. SUMMARY:Coastal Zone Protection – New Financing Mechanisms
DESCRIPTION:Deep Dive Workshop: \nDanske kommuner står over for et stigende behov for at klimasikre den danske kystzone – særligt omkring bebyggede områder. +45 22 68 46 43

SUMMARY:Den levende SDG by – fra værdigrundlag til operationelt innovationsrum
DESCRIPTION:Deep Dive Workshop:  \nSom mange andre steder er SDG’erne i dag blevet værdiggrundlaget for en mere bæredygtig udvikling af vores samfund. \nWorkshoppen vil finde sted over to dage – datoerne er foreløbigt tentative.  \n  \nHvis workshoppen har din virksomheds interesse\, så kontakt: \nLotte Christina Breengaard\, Program Director \nE-mail: lcb@bloxhub.org\nTlf. +45 22 68 46 43

SUMMARY:Hvordan ser fremtidens danske hjemmearbejdspladser ud?
Desuden deltager ledelsesrepræsentanter fra\nbl.a.
