SUMMARY:Hvordan samarbejder vi om at skabe fremtidens bynatur?
DESCRIPTION:I 2022 vedtog FN og de 196 medlemslande The Global Biodiversity Framework\, også kendt som Kunming-Montreal Aftalen.

SUMMARY:Designing Wellbeing Cities - Nordic Pavilion at Osaka EXPO 2025
DESCRIPTION:On October 2\, Nordic partners invite you to the Nordic Pavilion at the Osaka Expo for a full day of cross-cultural exchange. \nJapan and the Nordics come together to explore how architecture and urban design can restore what algorithms can not: trust\, dignity\, and human connection in our cities. Across six sessions\, we explore how design can foster wellbeing in its many forms: through wellness\, inclusion\, connection\, belonging\, and collaboration. The day concludes with reflections on what we can learn from each other\, not by blending traditions\, but by building new ways of living\, working\, and designing across differences. \nWhy Japan and the Nordics? \nBecause both regions understand that the soul of a city lies not just in its systems\, but in its relationships. In Japan\, the concept of Ibasho — a place where one truly belongs — resonates with the Nordic tradition of community\, characterized by a commitment to social trust\, equality\, and collective welfare. These are not just ideals\, they are spatial principles\, embedded in how we build and live. Join us for a day of insight and inspiration\, where two cultures meet to imagine a more compassionate\, connected future. \nIf you’re planning to attend the EXPO and would like to join us\, please contact Director of Global Networks and Partnership\, Jakob Norman-Hansen via jnh@bloxhub.org

SUMMARY:Klimafolkemødet - A Social Perspective On Energy
DESCRIPTION:How can we ensure that the green transition is also socially just?\nIn an EU context\, Denmark has relatively few people living in energy poverty — yet many are at risk\, including tenants\, young people\, and low-income groups. New research reveals that individuals experiencing energy poverty are not a homogeneous group and that distinct challenges necessitate tailored solutions. \nThis conversation salon invites reflection and dialogue: How do we engage those who are often excluded from the climate debate? Who takes responsibility for the social impacts of the energy crisis — and how can energy renovations and local involvement play a greater role? \nDrawing on European experiences and projects\, such as SUPERSHINE\, we will explore how the energy transition and social justice can be aligned. The discussion\, facilitated by European Green Cities\, will be based on open-ended questions\, sharing of experiences\, and joint exploration. \nTake part in the conversation at Klimafolkemødet in Middelfart 29th of August.

SUMMARY:Inner Development Goals Learning Lab: Acting
DESCRIPTION:The Inner Development Goals (IDG) offer a framework of five dimensions and 23 inner qualities to support sustainable development. BLOXHUB\, in collaboration with the IDG Copenhagen Leadership Development Hub\, invites you to join a series of learning labs. These sessions will allow you to delve into the Inner Development Goals and discover how to incorporate these inner qualities into your daily life and work. \nLearning Lab Schedule: \n\n14th November\, 16.00 – 18.00: Being\n3rd December\, 16.00 – 18.00: Thinking\n13th January\, 16.00 – 18.00: Relating\n19th February\, 16.00 – 18.00: Collaborating\n17th March\, 16.00 – 18.00: Acting\n\nThese learning labs\, co-hosted by BLOXHUB and the IDG Copenhagen Leadership Development Hub—a team of experienced professionals connecting inner and outer sustainability—offer a blend of inspirational insights\, practical exercises\, gamification\, dialogue\, and reflection. \nThe history behind the Inner Development Goals \nIn 2015\, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) gave us a comprehensive plan for a sustainable world by 2030. \nAlthough we have accumulated much knowledge about the climate crisis\, poverty\, public health\, and other social ills communicated in the SDGs\, we seem to lack the inner capacity to deal with our increasingly complex environment and challenges. \nWhat has been largely missing from current strategies is a keen insight into which abilities\, qualities or skills we need to develop among individuals\, groups and organisations that play crucial roles in working to fulfil the SDGs. \nFortunately\, modern research shows that the inner abilities we require to complement and accelerate our external approaches can be developed. This was the starting point for the Inner Development Goals (IDG) initiative. \nOver a number of years\, many different stakeholderes set out on a learning journey together. On 12th of May 2021 the IDG framework\, co-created by 1000+ scientists\, experts and HR & Sustainability professionals was made available open source for the world. \nThe Inner Development Goals is a not-for-profit and open-source initiative. The initiative is acknowledged by the UN as a substantial contribution to delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals and sustainable development more broadly.  (Source: Inner Development Goals). \nSign up here: Link

BLOXHUB\, in collaboration with the IDG Copenhagen Leadership Development Hub\, invites you to join a series of learning labs. These sessions will allow you to delve into the Inner Development Goals and discover how to incorporate these inner qualities into your daily life and work. \nLearning Lab Schedule: \n\n14th November\, 16.00 – 18.00: Being\n3rd December\, 16.00 – 18.00: Thinking\n13th January\, 16.00 – 18.00: Relating\n4th February\, 16.00 – 18.00: Collaborating\n6th March\, 16.00 – 18.00: Acting\n\nThese learning labs\, co-hosted by BLOXHUB and the IDG Copenhagen Leadership Development Hub—a team of experienced professionals connecting inner and outer sustainability—offer a blend of inspirational insights\, practical exercises\, gamification\, dialogue\, and reflection. (Source: Inner Development Goals) \nParticipation is free.  \nSign up here: Link

SUMMARY:Can the Built Environment Save the World?
DESCRIPTION:With the Built Environment being a big contributor to CO2 emissions and climate change\, there is huge potential in rethinking the entire sector and therefore reducing the negative impact on climate and the environment. In this debate\, the panelists discuss how a Circular Built Environment can save the world through cross-sector collaboration. \n\nThis debate circulates around the question\, whether the Built Environment can save the world. We will explore and answer that question by pointing out that the built environment can be part of the solution\, when thought together with different sectors within a circular and regenerative frame. The panelists will explore how to scale circular solutions in the construction sector and provide examples of cross-sectoral collaboration based on experiences from the industrial research network about the Circular Built Environment. \nDitte Lysgaard Vind\nAssociate\nLendager \nSimon Sjökvist\nIndustrial PhD\nRoyal Danish Academy & Cobe \nLotte Breengaard\nProgram Director Urban Partnerships\nBLOXHUB \nThomas Fabian Delman\nCo-founder & CEO\nCircle Bank \nMODERATOR\nTorben Klitgaard\nCEO\nBLOXHUB \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet your free ticket HERE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n___\nThe debate is part of LOOP Conference\, a cross-sector event shining a spotlight on circular solutions for a green transition.
