SUMMARY:BLOXHUB Debates: Democratic Digitalization?
DESCRIPTION:This ‘BLOXHUB Debates’ is part of the online Nordic Edge Expo \nAs a BLOXHUB member\, you get free access. Sign up and get your free ticket here \nThe discussion:\nDigitalization has made access to information\, power and influence more democratic than ever. But has a democratic society and the rules\, laws and norms that define the balance between public and private\, citizen and politician responded to this digital advancement? The COVID pandemic has a true test of how democratic our current digital society is. \nFrom contact tracing to supporting local business\, to leveraging massive smart city data sets\, our digital society gives us the tools to fight this pandemic and bounce back stronger than before.   But who’s responsibility is it to ensure these digital tools truly strengthen our democracy rather than undermine it?  What is the role of in-person interaction and actual places where these digital issues collide such as the neighbourhoods where we support our local businesses\, the streets that we use or don’t use to commute to work\, or the location where we come into contact with a person with COVID-19? These are the questions and perspectives the panel will discuss. \nPanelists:\nHeidi Boye\, Too good to go \nMarius Sylvestersen\, Copenhagen Solutions Lab\, City of Copenhagen \nNanna Skovgaard\, Sundhedsministeriet \nKåre Løvgren\, IDA \nModerator:\nJeff Risom\, Chief Innovation Officer\, Gehl

SUMMARY:Hvordan ser fremtidens danske hjemmearbejdspladser ud?
Desuden deltager ledelsesrepræsentanter fra\nbl.a.

SUMMARY:Smart Cities - Byernes vej til bæredygtighed?
\nOplæg\nSmarte’ energifællesskaber – eksperimenter i Nordhavn \nVed adjunkt Simon Lex Institut for Antropologi\, Københavns Universitet \n“Smarte” energifællesskaber skal organiseres lokalt. \nVirksomhed til opfølgende spørgsmål: Lars Groth\, product owner i DinGeo (Boliga) \nTilmeld dig her:

SUMMARY:Affordable Housing and the Inclusive City
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to IFHP Summit and Master Class\nPart 1: Summit | 11:00 am – 1:30 pm CET\nCities are for people\, ideally for all people. But when adequate housing becomes increasingly unaffordable to a growing part of cities’ citizens\, who is the city then for? And how to make a city good for its people? Affordable housing is at the root of citizens’ ability to thrive in their city\, and to their resilience to economic and social shocks. \n Join the event at BLOXHUB in Copenhagen\nA small group of people can attend the live section featuring Jan Gehl and Jens Kramer Mikkelsen\, co-created with BLOXHUB. This section will be broadcasted to the webinar so all parts are available for online attendees\, while the live attendees will have access to all online sections via the big screen at Bloxhub’s Arena scene. To book one of the limited seats in Copenhagen\, kindly visit BLOXHUB’s registration here. \nThe Summit is part of the Urban Thinkers Campus series of the World Urban Campaign. \nPart 2: Master class | 2:00 – 4:30 pm CET\nFor IFHP members\, Download program \nHow are cities to tackle the aggravating housing crisis and foster inclusive economic growth for their citizens to thrive? 2\,5 billion more people are expected to be living in cities by 2050. That equals a staggering 80 million per year that cities around the world must accommodate and offer liveable conditions for. Recent research reveals that only 13% of the world’s cities have affordable housing – a situation exacerbating during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite adequate housing being recognized as a human right\, the housing crisis seems to only intensify. \nSign up for Master Class here \nBecome Member here \nJoin the IFHP Master Class to learn more and: \n\nAccess the IFHP learning platform with an online course and pre-class online exchanges\, curated and surveyed by Professor Savvas Verdis of the London School of Economics\nAccess the Master Class webinar with top-tier international experts and pose your questions directly to Professor Verdis in the chat\nReceive your official IFHP 2020 Master Class Certificate of Attendance by email\n\nThe online course and associated Master Class will look at the concepts of interpersonal and regional inequalities in advanced economies and what both cities and national governments can do to tackle entrenched inequalities through inclusive growth strategies. SUMMARY:HVORDAN GØR VI BOLIGMARKEDET MANGFOLDIGT?
DESCRIPTION:HVORDAN GØR VI BOLIGMARKEDET MANGFOLDIGT? \nPaneldeltagere:\nCamilla van Deurs (stadsarkitekt\, Københavns Kommune)\,\nMia Manghezi (projektudviklingsdirektør\, PensionDanmark)\,\nChristian Cold (arkitekt\, CEO\, Entasis)\nLars Lundbye (kreativ direktør\, partner\, Almenr).

SUMMARY:Build Back Better - live streamed from BLOX
DESCRIPTION:The BLOX Summit invites to ‘Build Back Better’ in the light of urbanisation challenges\, amplified by the Covid-19 pandemic.  Consequently\, BLOX Global is inviting partnerships to Build Back Better sustainable solutions aligned with the UN’s 17 SDGs. \nJoin the live stream event here: https://getvisualtv.net/stream/?blox-build-back-better\n___________________________________________________________________________________ \n…and experience amazing speakers such as:\n\n\nDr. Hans Kluge\, WHO Europe\n\n\nLord Mayor Frank Jensen\, Copenhagen Municipality\n\n\nDr. Joseph Allen\, Harvard University\, Public Health\n\n\nVice-President\, Margrethe Vestager\, The EU Commission\n\n\nCEO Torben Klitgaard\, BLOXHUB\n\n\nSee the full program here: https://www.linkslabs.com/blox-build-back-better/\n___________________________________________________________________________________ \n\nPlease note: You can also stream on-demand after the live event on the same link. \n  \nWhat is the meaning of Building Back Better?  \nTwo years after the Indian Ocean tsunami and earthquake of December 26\, 2004\, \nBuild Back Better (BBB) was created in an attempt to guide the long road towards \nrecovery. \nBuild Back Better was defined and officially used in the United Nations Sendai \nFramework for Disaster Risk Reduction. It is the implementation of recovery\, \nrehabilitation and reconstruction phases after a disaster to increase the resilience of \nnations and communities. \nLarge scale disasters cause extensive damages required for the full functioning of a \ncommunity. An inclusive and comprehensive disaster recovery framework serves as \nan agreed way forward to simplify the recovery process thereby maintaining or even \nimproving development trajectories while ensuring adherence to Build Back Better \nprinciples. \nA key learning from Build Back Better is to invite decision-makers from other relevant \nplayers outside the industry to facilitate partnership to ‘build better in the future’\, as \nit will ultimately have a more solid effect on tomorrow’s sustainable urban solutions. \n  \nBuildBackBetter post Covid-19 \nThe consequences of Covid-19 have accelerated the need for collaboration between the \nworld’s political leaders\, institutions\, organizations\, academics\, and businesses. As the \ncorona crisis gradually abates in some countries\, attention is turning towards stimulus \nmeasures that facilitate recovery. \nBuild Back Better should be the guiding principle in the aftermath of the pandemic. This \nmeans\, not only ensuring swift recovery but implementing strategies that protect \nprosperity in the long term. \nThe Covid-19 pandemic is already exacerbating negative trends in urban planning. For \nexample\, urban planning has created a reliance on private cars in many cities. The \nCOVID-19 pandemic could exacerbate this trend through an increase in demand for less \ndense neighborhoods. \nTransforming urban areas into livable and sustainable places can help address multiple \nissues outlined by the SDGs while simultaneously working towards a healthier and \nmore sustainable livelihood. \n  \nBuild Back Better and the built environment \nBuild Back Better and the built environment demand that we search for ways to build \nmore sustainably. \nAn example; many resources used in construction such as concrete\, wood\, cement and \nmetal etc.\, are characterized by a long life cycle with low flexibility after construction. \nTherefore\, it is particularly important to think ‘build back better’ through sustainable \nmaterials e.g. wood\, recycled plastics\, ferrock\, bamboo\, rammed earth and straw bales \netc. \nBesides sustainable materials\, Build Back Better is also related to vigilant leadership\, \nrevisions of business models and supply chain management. \nThe essence is to provide a framework for decision-makers\, industry leaders and \npolitical figures to build back better new communities\, because “business as usual” is \nnot an option if we are to reach the UN’s SDGs.
