SUMMARY:BLOXHUB SUMMER SCHOOL ON LIVEABLE CITIES
DESCRIPTION:In cooperation with Roskilde University (RUC) we are proud to present this summer school on liveable cities. \nCities have become the sites of both the world’s major problems and major possibilities. Consequently\, liveability has become a leitmotiv of urban development\, and it must be questioned what makes a city liveable\, for who and what\, and how in practice and theory? \nThe course introduces different critical perspectives on what makes cities ‘liveable’ and through various themes\, we explore specific efforts to improve urban conditions as well as layout the challenges involved. The course is organized around cases from cities around the world and especially Copenhagen and its surrounding lands. Particular interest is given to Copenhagen because it is a site through which ideas and practices of liveable urban living are being explored\, promoted and contested. What to learn from these actions and lessons? \nUnfolding liveable cities is about the ability to integrate social\, cultural and environmental dimensions. Key to this integration is to investigate and experiment with the diversity of cities and the processes through which life unfolds and cities take shape. Through research-based perspectives and a strong collaboration with local planners and practitioners\, you will learn not only from multiple perspectives\, but also work with real-life challenges experienced by various urban agents.

DESCRIPTION:ATV inviterer\, i samarbejde med Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond\, til Tech Talk om kunstig intelligens den 7. november 2019. Eventet stiller skarpt på\, hvad der rører sig inden for kunstig intelligens og de helt nye tendenser i forskningen. Tech talken afholdes hos www.Bloxhub.org \n\n\n\nI efteråret uddeler Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond 80 mio. kr. til cirka 22 nye forskningsprojekter inden for digitale teknologier og kunstig intelligens på baggrund af et internationalt udvalg af danske og udenlandske eksperter. DESCRIPTION:As part of a new collaboration with the joint objectives of enhancing innovation within the construction industry Innovation Fund and Realdania are launching a new call for industrial Ph.Ds. and postdocs. \nThe joint ambition is to develop new circular solutions and new business models for circularity in the built environment.\nIn so doing the Innovation Fund and Realdania will support an applied\, cross-disciplinary research team consisting of 15 industrial researchers and their academy and company supervisors. Both private companies and public organizations can apply. DESCRIPTION:Kom og oplev\, hvordan jam-sessions kan lære dig noget om digital kommunikation i byggebranchen  \nRådgivervirksomheden NIRAS har i et forskningsprojekt i samarbejde med Københavns Lufthavn og Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium undersøgt\, hvordan vi i byggebranchen benytter digitale værktøjer i inddragelsesprocesser. \nVi besynger digitale teknologier højt\, og de smarte løsninger står i kø. Tilbage står spørgsmålet om\, hvorvidt teknologier\, flotte visualiseringer og kunstig intelligens i visse situationer skygger for vigtige perspektiver og komplekse processer? \nVi kombinerer derfor vores erfaringer med digitale inddragelsesprocesser med teorier om interaktiv kommunikation (jamming) fra musikkens verden for at forstå\, hvad der fremmer\, og hvad der forstyrrer en god digital inddragelsesproces. Til det første seminar går vi sammen med Sund og Bælt A/S og Autodesk og præsenterer\, hvordan du som bygherre kan opnå bedre forståelse for det projektmateriale\, du modtager\, og skal overlevere til drift. \nMed rette klassifikation og egenskabsdata kan data nemlig nemt overføres til drift og vedligehold. Hvad opnår du som bygherre med struktureret data og fælles data sprog i byggeprojekterne? Kom og hør fordelene ved at være på forkant med data. \nSund og Bælt A/S og Autodesk fortæller om vigtigheden af datastruktur og fælles sprog for netop at kunne overføre deres nye projektet til drift og vedligehold\, samt hvordan de har grebet det konkret an. DESCRIPTION:During the event at BloxHub\, Green Island will present examples of its work concerning fossil free city area development\, which combine a number of important technologies\, like ground water based heating and cooling with heat pump operation ( ATES ) and solar heating installations\, and at the same time use of renewable electricity production from windmills\, PV and use of local biogas production. Besides there will be a special discussion on possible use of the newest BIPV technologies in connection to urban development.
