SUMMARY:AI in Construction: Impact\, Risks\, and Threats
DESCRIPTION:At this workshop\, “Impact\, Risks\, and Threats\,” we take a closer look at the changes AI creates in how we work in the construction industry. Through presentations from leading experts\, we discuss what precautions companies should and can take when using models that manage data whose sources we do not fully or only partially know.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThrough open dialogue\, we exchange knowledge and share concrete examples of how\, among other things\, employees\, copyright\, and transparency are affected by artificial intelligence in the construction industry. Moreover\, it is a core element of all workshops that participants exchange knowledge and experiences and share their own experiences with and expectations for AI. \nWho can participate? This workshop is for everyone who wants to understand and apply AI in a responsible and value-creating way in the Danish construction industry – no matter where you are in the construction value chain. \nDo you have questions about the event? Contact project manager at ConTech Lab\, Mikkel Bredsgaard\, mb@molio.dk \nPlease sign up here: https://event.contechlab.dk/AI-i-byggeriet-2 \nThis is the second workshop in a series of four\, co-hosted by BLOXHUB\, DI Byggeri\, HD Lab\, and ConTech Lab. \nThe series aims at disseminating knowledge about artificial intelligence in the construction industry. Here\, knowledge about practical and realistic solutions\, as well as grand visions for the future\, is shared. All of this is to make the construction industry wiser about how AI can improve existing work processes and transform how we think and work in the industry.

SUMMARY:Applied Science in Practice
DESCRIPTION:Realdania granted funding in 2023 for three collaborative projects to promote the circular economy in construction. These projects\, evolving from the Circular Built Environment Network (CBEN)\, focus on developing and promoting commercial solutions and services. Each collaboration involves two to three CBEN-affiliated companies. \nThis event will showcase the projects’ results and demonstrate the practical application of applied science. \nProgram: \nMaterial Stories by Lene Damsbo Brix\, Circue\nMaterial Stories is a collaborative project with Circue\, Twin Transition\, Enemærke & Petersen\, and The Royal Danish Academy. It supports the flow of recycled materials in the public housing sector by developing a (digital) framework of knowledge and a dialog tool that can be used to communicate different value-creating aspects of recycled materials directly to residents. \nCircular Potentials on the Site by Frederik Agdrup\, Tredje Natur\nTredje Natur has\, in collaboration with Enemærke & Petersen\, been developing a publication that works as a tool. Based on two different building cases\, they define a framework for assessing reuse and recycling potentials for materials in outdoor spaces and landscapes. \nGuide to Social Commissioning and Post-Occupancy Evaluation by Vibeke Grupe Larsen\, Danish Association of Architectural Firms and Johanne Mose Entwistle\, AART\nThe Danish Association of Architectural Firms and AART have been developing a guide for architects on performing social commissioning and post-occupation evaluation. The guide defines how social sustainability\, linked to the use and application of buildings\, can generate social\, environmental\, and economic value for building owners and users and thereby support the circular economy. \nBy invitation only!
