SUMMARY:Affordable Housing and the Inclusive City
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to IFHP Summit and Master Class\nPart 1: Summit | 11:00 am – 1:30 pm CET\nCities are for people\, ideally for all people. But when adequate housing becomes increasingly unaffordable to a growing part of cities’ citizens\, who is the city then for? And how to make a city good for its people? Affordable housing is at the root of citizens’ ability to thrive in their city\, and to their resilience to economic and social shocks. \n Join the event at BLOXHUB in Copenhagen\nA small group of people can attend the live section featuring Jan Gehl and Jens Kramer Mikkelsen\, co-created with BLOXHUB. This section will be broadcasted to the webinar so all parts are available for online attendees\, while the live attendees will have access to all online sections via the big screen at Bloxhub’s Arena scene. To book one of the limited seats in Copenhagen\, kindly visit BLOXHUB’s registration here. \nThe Summit is part of the Urban Thinkers Campus series of the World Urban Campaign. \nPart 2: Master class | 2:00 – 4:30 pm CET\nFor IFHP members\, Download program \nHow are cities to tackle the aggravating housing crisis and foster inclusive economic growth for their citizens to thrive? 2\,5 billion more people are expected to be living in cities by 2050. That equals a staggering 80 million per year that cities around the world must accommodate and offer liveable conditions for. Recent research reveals that only 13% of the world’s cities have affordable housing – a situation exacerbating during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite adequate housing being recognized as a human right\, the housing crisis seems to only intensify. \nSign up for Master Class here \nBecome Member here \nJoin the IFHP Master Class to learn more and: \n\nAccess the IFHP learning platform with an online course and pre-class online exchanges\, curated and surveyed by Professor Savvas Verdis of the London School of Economics\nAccess the Master Class webinar with top-tier international experts and pose your questions directly to Professor Verdis in the chat\nReceive your official IFHP 2020 Master Class Certificate of Attendance by email\n\nThe online course and associated Master Class will look at the concepts of interpersonal and regional inequalities in advanced economies and what both cities and national governments can do to tackle entrenched inequalities through inclusive growth strategies. The online course will provide immersive content on policies that are both spatially targeted and connected. IFHP members will be surveyed on the online course and their answers used to structure the masterclass with experts. \nThe IFHP Master Class is open to all IFHP members. SUMMARY:CIRCULAR REAL ESTATE
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Cannes! \nHow do we finance and who pays for the circular construction of the future? \nIn 2020 there is much talk about circular construction. Still\, many investors regard circular real estate projects as ‘ethical’ investments\, rather than profitable business opportunities. \nHow do we reduce the risk for investors\, and who will finance the risk? And can architects\, developers and other organizations convince investors in Denmark and abroad that circular construction is not only sustainable\, but a good business opportunity? \nWe welcome you to a lively discussion\, where inspiring examples of circularity will be tested against hard economic realities. At the end of the session\, we will hopefully be able to toast to a new platform for circular partnerships. \nPlease sign up here: https://lnkd.in/dmCetUJ \nWHERE: Boulevard de la Croisette 35\, first floor\, Cannes \nDo you have any questions? SUMMARY:AEC HACKATHON @ BLOXHUB 2020
DESCRIPTION:Join us February 21st – 23rd! \nOnce again BLOXHUB partners up with the international hackathon organization\, AEC Hackathon to bring together the brightest minds and innovators from the AEC (Architecture\, Engineering\, Construction) industry. \nBuilding off of last years success\, we once again invite you to join us at BLOXHUB for a weekend in the name of disruption. Where thinking outside the box is encouraged and innovation and curiosity are the key components. \nRegistration is now live! Get your ticket HERE \nHow it works\nNew to AEC Hackathons? No worries. Get to know the format here: \nThe AEC Hackathon was created to give those designing\, building\, and maintaining our built environment the opportunity to collaborate with cutting-edge technologies and its developers and designers. Over the course of three days\, teams compete against each other while trying to find solutions for the problems they face in their everyday work. \nThe event kicks off with an opening reception and presentation where the event agenda is laid out as well as the venue that will be open for participants. After that ‘Lightning Rounds’ will start. They act as a quick way for participants to show each other what they want to work with and what their skills are.\nIf you have a problem you would like to focus on\, this is where you get a chance to pitch it to the other participants and gather your dream team. \nAfterwards\, it is time to start hacking! SUMMARY:CIRCULARITY AND THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT: WRITING THE GOOD APPLICATION FOR THE INNOVATION FUND
DESCRIPTION:As part of a new collaboration with the joint objectives of enhancing innovation within the construction industry Innovation Fund and Realdania are launching a new call for industrial Ph.Ds. and postdocs. \nThe joint ambition is to develop new circular solutions and new business models for circularity in the built environment.\nIn so doing the Innovation Fund and Realdania will support an applied\, cross-disciplinary research team consisting of 15 industrial researchers and their academy and company supervisors. Both private companies and public organizations can apply. The research team – that is expected to begin end 2020 – will form part of the research activities in BLOXHUB. \nBLOXHUB is hosting a series of information and match-making events regarding this call. This is the third event. \nThis event will be about how to write the great application for the Innovation Fund. You should participate if you are interested in applying for a research grant as part of the call for Circularity and the Built Environment. This meeting will provide you with information on how to write to great application and a Q&A session. \nSign up for the information meeting here: http://bit.ly/2PdVIGn

SUMMARY:WORKSHOP “THE BORING REVOLUTION” #3: CIRCULAR BUILDINGS
I Januar diskuterer vi gennem tre effektive workshops\, hvad denne stille – men ekstremt vigtige – revolution betyder for: \n1. Bedre indeklima i skolerne (20. januar\, 9-13) \n2.
