SUMMARY:15-Minute city: Framing the Future of Urban Development
DESCRIPTION:Novo Nordisk\, Gehl and BLOXHUB invite you to a one-day workshop to take a deep-dive into how the 15-Minute City Framework can accelerate global\, impact-driven\, sustainable urban development. The 15-Minute City Framework is gaining international traction and is set to become a central piece for how cities can approach post-pandemic urban (re)development. The 15-Minute City is a recognisable framework of well-known urban development methods with the objective to nudge design processes for ambitious\, inclusive\, and measurable outcomes with citizens’ needs front and center. With a familiar set of methods and a clear vision of 15-Minute City Framework accessibility\, We know a lot about what must be done\, but less about how to do it. The workshop will explore the challenges and opportunities to working with and achieving the 15-Minute City Framework. \n\nAs a global healthcare company with a purpose to drive change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases such as obesity\, we are curious to learn how the design or redesign of a city using the 15-Minute City Framework\, built on a bottom-up engagement model\, can support urban health and well-being. We have a specific interest in increasing local capacity among the almost 40 cities in our global city network\, Cities Changing Diabetes and we hope the learnings will also be inspirational to other cities\, and thereby provide another method to help improve urban health and well-being. \n– Niels Lund\, Vice President\, Global Prevention and Health Promotion\, Novo Nordisk.\n\nThe workshop will take starting point in a series of dilemmas found in Bogotá and Colombia\, based on the release of a new report on Foodscapes conducted by Gehl and Novo Nordisk in the city’s most deprived communities. Insights from the report around access to food\, mobility\, land use planning and citizen perspectives will lay out key challenges and frame the context of the workshop that will allow participants to Ideate based on the overall question: What elements are needed to create a scalable\, analytical methodology for the 15-Minute City Framework that cities and companies working on urban development can use to create health and wellbeing? \nThe workshop will have a broad holistic perspective ranging from the collection and use of data and how this is utilized into an inclusive urban development process based on tactical urbanism. \nInteresting in joining? SUMMARY:Universal Design for more usable\, livable and healthy buildings
DESCRIPTION:We spend our lives within public and private buildings and our daily activities depend more and more on the possibilities that these environments offer us. \nThe environment influences our experiences and has an impact on our physical and mental health. One of the major challenges of architects today is to offer spaces that respond to all people’s needs\, regardless of differences in physical\, sensory\, mental and social abilities. This will bring to more usable\, livable and healthy buildings for everyone. \nSpeakers: \n\nRoberta Cassi\, Industrial Ph.D. Fellow\, Royal Danish Academy – Architecture\, Design\, Conservation.\nErica Isa Mosca\, Postdoctoral Researcher\,  Ph.D. arch\, Politecnico di Milano – Architecture\, Built Environment and Construction Engineering\, Design & Health LAB.\nTurid Borgestrand Øien\, Researcher\, PhD. cand.arch\, Department of the Built Environment\, Aalborg University – Construction Management and Innovation.\n\nSign up below

SUMMARY:Science Talks: Just how does space impact well-being and learning?
DESCRIPTION:As part of our Healthy Buildings event series our next Science Talks on Thursday 22 April is on \nSpace\, Body\, and Brain \nAs the kind of living organisms we are\, we are in many ways dependent on our ability to act in space to thrive and survive. Thus\, our brain is constantly preoccupied with predicting our possibilities to act spatially and adjust both body and brain accordingly. As we mostly live in manmade environments\, this ongoing adjustment means that certain aspects of the design of spaces might have a direct influence on the state of the body and the brain. \nZakaria Djebbara is an architect from Aalborg University who defended his Ph.D. in 2020 in the cross-section of architecture\, neuroscience\, and philosophy. He is currently a postdoc at Aalborg University and committed to understanding the relationship between brain activity and the experience of architecture by an experimental approach. \nLars Brorson Fich graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1984 and work as a practicing architect until he turned to research at Aalborg University in 2008. He defended his Ph.D. entitled “Towards a Neuroaffective Approach to Healing Architecture” in 2014 and is today an Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture\, Design\, and Media Technology. \nBoth Zakaria Djebbara and Lars Brorson Fich are members of the BBAR (Brain\, Body\, Architecture Research group) at Aalborg University. \nSign up below

SUMMARY:Science Talks: IAQ\, ventilation and COVID: the latest insights?
DESCRIPTION:Speaker \nDr. ir. Atze Boerstra \nFeelgoodbuilding specialist\, bba & Managing Director & Vice President REHVA \nFinal program coming soon but feel free to sign up already now \n  \n \n___ \nThis event is part of an event series of 10 on the topic: Healthy buildings – high performance – happy hearts and minds Our indoor climate has a significant impact on our health and cognitive functions. Study after study shows that our wellbeing and performance improves dramatically with higher rates of ventilation\, optimal humidity\, lightning\, noise control and well-designed spaces. So\, what does it take to turn that knowledge into action? It’s time to look beyond the four walls — placing the decisions we make around buildings into the larger conversation around development and health and prioritizing the most important asset of any building: its people. Partners are: PROPTECH Denmark\, BUILD\, LYS Technologies\, Sound Cluster Denmark\, VELUX and BLOXHUB.

SUMMARY:BLOXHUB Debates: How indoor lighting is affecting your health
DESCRIPTION:How indoor lighting is affecting your health: a look beyond aesthetics and energy efficiency.  \nJust as air\, food\, and water – light is a natural and vital source to our health. To most people\, the absorption of light is an unconscious choice in life. It’s everywhere\, always. But often not in a healthy way.  \nToday\, we spend more than 90% of our time indoors. But most indoor lighting is unhealthy and not tailored to the occupants of the space. What are the main challenges to improve this? And how does the future of lighting look? \nJoin us for a vibrant panel discussion where various industry members will share different perspectives on the topic. \nThe scene will be set by: \nProf. Marilyne Andersen\, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology\nAnne Gade Iversen\, Indoor Climate Expert and Project Lead\, Realdania \n  \nPanelists:\nChristina Friis Blach Petersen (LYS Technologies)\nPeter Fangel Poulsen (Bauherr)\nEllen Kathrine Hansen (Aalborg University\, Copenhagen)\nMerete Madsen (MOE) \n Moderated by: \nLone Feifer\, VELUX\n \nSign up for this free online debate:

SUMMARY:Future scenarios for post-covid cities
DESCRIPTION:During 2020\, the coronavirus has spread rapidly in cities around the globe. In this last event\, in a series of 7\, we will focus on post-covid cities and how the virus might make us think differently about urban design. \nDoes protection against covid-19 risk hollowing out our cities and ruining public life of popular neighbourhoods in the name of protecting citizens? Do we manage to view the protection against covid-19 together with urban health challenges related to air pollution and lifestyle diseases caused by inactivity and poor access to healthy food? \nCovid-19 is reshaping tendencies around mobility\, urban living\, and the future of work that potential are at odds with healthy lifestyles. \nJoin us for this debate where speakers from multiple disciplines and perspectives explore the question: How might we make our cities pandemic proof\, while also promoting healthy lifestyles for everyone?   \nSpeakers: \n\nImran Rashid\, author and expert in digital habits\nUrsula Scavenius\, author and expert in dystopian future scenarios\nNicolas Arroyo\, Partner & Foresight Director\, Bespoke CPH\nLars Spindler\, associate partner\, digital strategy\, IBM\n\nModerator: \n\nJeff Risom\, Partner & Chief Innovation Officer at Gehl\n\nSign up to get your free link:

SUMMARY:Den levende SDG by – fra værdigrundlag til operationelt innovationsrum
DESCRIPTION:Deep Dive Workshop:  \nSom mange andre steder er SDG’erne i dag blevet værdiggrundlaget for en mere bæredygtig udvikling af vores samfund. \nWorkshoppen vil finde sted over to dage – datoerne er foreløbigt tentative.  \n  \nHvis workshoppen har din virksomheds interesse\, så kontakt: \nLotte Christina Breengaard\, Program Director \nE-mail: lcb@bloxhub.org\nTlf. +45 22 68 46 43

SUMMARY:Hvordan ser fremtidens danske hjemmearbejdspladser ud?
Desuden deltager ledelsesrepræsentanter fra\nbl.a. TDC NET og Mærsk med egne cases og specifik viden. \nDer er et begrænset antal pladser\, så tilmelding er nødvendig.

SUMMARY:CIRCULAR REAL ESTATE
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Cannes! \nHow do we finance and who pays for the circular construction of the future? \nIn 2020 there is much talk about circular construction. Still\, many investors regard circular real estate projects as ‘ethical’ investments\, rather than profitable business opportunities. \nHow do we reduce the risk for investors\, and who will finance the risk? And can architects\, developers and other organizations convince investors in Denmark and abroad that circular construction is not only sustainable\, but a good business opportunity? \nWe welcome you to a lively discussion\, where inspiring examples of circularity will be tested against hard economic realities. At the end of the session\, we will hopefully be able to toast to a new platform for circular partnerships. \nPlease sign up here: https://lnkd.in/dmCetUJ \nWHERE: Boulevard de la Croisette 35\, first floor\, Cannes \nDo you have any questions? DESCRIPTION:Join us February 21st – 23rd! \nOnce again BLOXHUB partners up with the international hackathon organization\, AEC Hackathon to bring together the brightest minds and innovators from the AEC (Architecture\, Engineering\, Construction) industry. \nBuilding off of last years success\, we once again invite you to join us at BLOXHUB for a weekend in the name of disruption. Where thinking outside the box is encouraged and innovation and curiosity are the key components. \nRegistration is now live! Get your ticket HERE \nHow it works\nNew to AEC Hackathons? No worries. Get to know the format here: \nThe AEC Hackathon was created to give those designing\, building\, and maintaining our built environment the opportunity to collaborate with cutting-edge technologies and its developers and designers. Over the course of three days\, teams compete against each other while trying to find solutions for the problems they face in their everyday work. \nThe event kicks off with an opening reception and presentation where the event agenda is laid out as well as the venue that will be open for participants. After that ‘Lightning Rounds’ will start. They act as a quick way for participants to show each other what they want to work with and what their skills are.\nIf you have a problem you would like to focus on\, this is where you get a chance to pitch it to the other participants and gather your dream team. \nAfterwards\, it is time to start hacking! Remember to bring all of your cool gadgets and tech as there will be plenty of opportunities to use them. Just remember to prepare a presentation! In the final part of the event\, the teams will present their projects to a panel of judges consisting of industry professionals. \n  \nFriday \n15.00-23.00 Doors are open\n16.30-17.00 Welcome by Torben Klitgaard & Damon Hernandez\n17.00-18.00 Short tour of the venue\n-Group 1 – 17.00-17.20\n-Group 2 – 17.10-17.30\n-Group 3 – 17.30-17.50\n-Group 4 – 17.40-18.00\n18.00-23.00 Lightning rounds\, team formations and hack start\n19.00-20.00 Standing dinner\n22.00-23.00 Closing for the day \nSaturday \n09.00-23.00 Doors are open\n09.00-10.00 Breakfast\n10.00-23.00 Hacking\n12.00-13.00 LUNCH \nTECHTALKS\n13.00-13.20 BIMobject\n13.30-13.50 KIRA-digi and Torben Klitgaard\n14.00-14.20 DTI/InnoBYG\n14.30-14.50 Molio\n15.00-15.45 Geoinfo and COWI\n16.00-18.00 Jazz Jam\n18.00-19.00 Dinner\n22.00-23.00 Closing for the day \nSunday \n09.00-18.30 Doors are open\n09.00-10.00 Breakfast\n10.00-13.00 Hacking\n12.00-13.00 LUNCH\n13.00-16.30 Presentations and feedback\n16.30-17.00 Judging\n17.00-17.15 Winners announced\n17.15-Thank you\, see you next year!\n17.30-18.30 Light dinner \n  \nRegistration\nGet your ticket HERE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIN COLLABORATION WITH\nPRIME PARTNERS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSUPPORTING PARTNERS
