SUMMARY:How does data create value for your business?
DESCRIPTION:The new Digital Product Passport for construction products (DPP) is on its way and will within a few years become a permanent part of how we work with materials in construction. Is your company ready for a reality where product data plays a far greater role in collaboration\, documentation and competitiveness? \nOn 9 April\, BLOXHUB\, ConTech Lab and DI Byggeri invite you to a workshop on how we can integrate the EU’s Digital Product Passport\, with a focus on data as the currency of the future – a currency that will be in high demand. But we need a common language for data if we are to unlock its full value\, and the companies that get started early will be better positioned and gain a competitive advantage. \nThe Digital Product Passport for construction products (DPP) is an EU initiative designed to make product data easier to understand and share across the value chain. The passport establishes a new common framework for how goods are documented\, compared and tracked throughout their entire lifecycle. It opens up many opportunities\, but the value will not come on its own. The purpose of the workshop is therefore to build an understanding of how you can turn data into value for your business – and how the DPP can help along the way. \nAt the workshop\, we bring together stakeholders from across the industry for a shared dialogue on: \n– What the DPP entails and what value it can create for your business\n– How we can use the DPP to facilitate collaboration across the value chain\n– What minimum requirements must be met before the DPP comes into force in order to capture its full value\n– How you and your company can prepare for working with the DPP in practice \nWho can participate? The workshop is relevant for anyone working in the construction sector – whether you are a manufacturer\, supplier\, consultant\, contractor\, developer\, or simply interested in how the DPP can create value for your business. The format will be a mix of dialogue and inspirational presentations\, with the opportunity to exchange ideas with other stakeholders across the value chain. \nInspirational presentations \nWhat is the current status and direction of the DPP?\nLouise Bünemann\, Head of EU Environmental Policy\, DI\nJakob Rørbech\, Senior Consultant\, DI Byggeri \nNew business models with data at the centre\nAnne Merete Skov-Petersen\, Co-founder\, MiCollect \nThe circular business opportunities that come with the DPP \nMartha Lewis\, Head of Materials\, Henning Larsen Architects \nHow do we get ready for the DPP? \nChristina Juell-Sundby\, Project Manager\, Molio – ConTech Lab \nPractical information\nDate: Thursday\, 9 April 2026\nTime: 09:00–12:00 (Croissants and coffee/tea from 08:30)\nVenue: BLOXHUB\, meeting room: Los Angeles (Festningens Materialgård\, Frederiksholms Kanal 30\, 1220 Copenhagen)\nLanguage: The workshop will be held in Danish. \nRegister for the workshop here

SUMMARY:Provide or prevent? Exploring sufficiency imaginaries -Science talk with Line Kryger Aagaard
DESCRIPTION:The latest IPCC report highlights “sufficiency” as a crucial concept for sustainable transition\, yet it remains underexplored in the built environment. Sufficiency emphasizes well-being over continuous growth\, advocating for reduced production and consumption without sacrificing quality of life. \nIn this science talk\, postdoctoral researcher Line Kryger Aagaard will present her research on “sufficiency imaginaries\,” exploring how Danish professionals interpret and apply this concept in their work. Her insights reveal new possibilities for embedding sufficiency into professional practices\, reshaping sustainability approaches in architecture\, urban planning\, and beyond. Join us to discover how sufficiency can guide a more resilient\, sustainable future. \nPlease sign up via form here:

SUMMARY:Agency of Knowledge - Whose Spaces\, Whose Knowledges? Conversations about landscape\, architecture\, and urbanism
DESCRIPTION:This symposium brings together diverse perspectives—scientific\, practical\, artistic\, industrial\, and experimental—across both complementary and conflicting views. It emphasizes democratizing knowledge\, including forms often overlooked in academic and industrial settings. \nThe first session explores how knowledge creation intersects with power\, addressing issues like ownership\, bias\, inclusion\, and exclusion. Through discussions with experts in urban issues from NGOs\, arts\, and academia\, we examine how different types of knowledge are produced\, used\, and circulated. \nThe second session focuses on care\, maintenance\, and repair\, featuring voices from those who maintain landscapes\, buildings\, and cities. Through storytelling\, we explore how these actors engage with the material world and consider how knowledge is generated within institutions and organizations. \nOpen to researchers\, practitioners\, architects\, planners\, engineers\, and anyone with an interest in urbanism and urban research. \nPROGRAM \n9:30 COFFEE & REGISTRATION \n10:00 Welcome\nIntroducing DARE Symposium III / Carolina Dayer\, Aarhus School of Architecture\, and David Pinder\, Roskilde University. \n10:10 Knowledge Democracy: How do we bridge ‘classic’ critical urban research perspectives on knowledge and power to contemporary positions acknowledging diversity\, pluralism\, and  the non-human realm? / Ole B. SUMMARY:Science Talk: How to Be an Imagination Activist
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a talk with systems thinker and biologist Phoebe Tickell as she explores how principles of living systems can influence a broad range of sectors\, including buildings\, business\, agriculture\, and societal structures. \nPhoebe Tickell is a renegade scientist\, systems thinker and social entrepreneur. She is the founder of the organisation Moral Imaginations and creator of an approach called Imagination Activism: a new kind of activism powered by imagination to create new possibilities and new forms of action. She believes that the vast majority of our challenges are not resource problems\, but imagination problems\, and that imagination is a muscle that can be flexed to change the way we see – and act. Moral Imaginations trains public\, private and community organisations to solve place-based problems\, unleash energy and systemic change. \nImagination Activism is a radical and rigorous approach to practise and strengthen shifts in perception\, move from dreams to action\, to create positive change and chart bold\, ambitious futures. It’s a new kind of activism powered by imagination to see the world differently and the skills to turn bold vision into action. Rather than fighting the old\, it orientates to the new. At the heart of Imagination Activism is Moral Imagination – the ability to look at things as if they could – and should – be otherwise. By changing the way we see the world\, we can create new possibilities and new actions that serve all people\, the planet\, and the coming future generations. \nThere will be time for Q&A at the end. \nPlease sign up for the talk via form here:

At this second DARE symposium\, ‘The very first house was a wind palisade…’\, we bring together researchers and practitioners from across the Danish research and practice environments of architecture and urban studies\, to discuss sustainable building practices\, including aspects of material scarcity\, growth and degrowth\, forms of dwelling and forms of living with and through the non-human. \nThe aim is to deepen our understanding of the composite nature and temporal interrelation of buildings\, the act of building\, and the flows of materials\, energy\, capital\, etc.\, that continuously situates circumscribes\, and (re-)produce both. Through keynotes and discussions\, the symposium unpacks the perspectives of both sustainable construction and the diverse activity of building and inhabitation – presently and historically. \nThis is the second symposium out of three exploratory forums for contemporary research in architecture\, urban design\, and landscape planning. It follows the first symposium\, ‘Entangled Scales: Urban and Rural Interaction’. The third symposium\, ‘The Power of Knowledge. Rights to Define Futures’ is planned for the autumn of 2024. \n________ \nCOFFEE & REGISTRATION\n \nWELCOME / Thomas Bo Jensen and Maja de Neergaard\n \nA BUILDING \n\nPeter Bertram\, Associate Professor\, The Royal Academy: Introducing the theme ‘The Very First House was a Wind Palisade…’\nHenriette Steiner\, Associate professor\, University of Copenhagen: Between Passion and Possession: Women Architects and the Houses they built for Family\, Love\, and Work.\nLærke Sophie Keil\, Assistant Professor\, University of Copenhagen: Rethinking the Concrete Landscape.\nSimon Sjökvist\, Ph.D. student\, The Royal Academy\, researches in expanded practices of reusing existing building stock.\n\nDiscussions \nLUNCH \nTO BUILD \n\nKemo Usto\, Ph.D.\, Aalborg University: Tectonic Metabolism – Towards a Slow and Narrow Material Diet in the Built Environment.\nOlga Popovic Larsen\, Professor\, The Royal Academy: Loadbearing Structures from Reclaimed Wood: Design Parameters\, Strategies\, and Reflections.\nMarkus Matthias Hudert\, Assistant Professor\, Aarhus University: Releasing the Knot: Spatio-temporal Aspects of Timber Construction.\nDiscussions \n\nBREAK \nPLENUM DISCUSSION / Moderated by Nicolaj Tofte Brenniche\, Chief of Research Administration\, The Royal Academy \nEND OF SYMPOSIUM \n______ \nPlease register for the symposium here:

SUMMARY:Inclusive Citizen Engagement in City Planning & Mobility Projects
DESCRIPTION:Together with Maptionaire we invite BLOXHUB members and stakeholders within the built environemnt to participate in our upcoming workshop\, “Inclusive Citizen Engagement in City Planning & Mobility Projects”. \nCity leaders and planners have a significant role to play in ensuring that the built environment promotes sustainable behaviors. Despite the best intentions\, urban development can however lead to conflicts with residents and users of the city. Therefore\, it is essential to find ways to effectively engage residents and users and turn them into allies. This workshop aims to explore ways to introduce citizen engagement into the planning process and provide meaningful opportunities for participation. \nThrough case studies from the City of Copenhagen and Viborg Municipality\, we will examine citizen engagement from four di erent perspectives: \n\nDigital involvement\nDiversity and equity\nEnvironment and sustainability\, and\nEconomic development.\n\nOur goal is to create guidelines for inclusive citizen engagement in the early stages of the planning process. \nThe workshop will feature inspirational talks by Dansk Byplanlaboratorium and Aase Højlund Nielsen\, Project Manager at DESIRE – New European Bauhaus\, group discussions\, and co-creation sessions. We hope to create a platform for sharing experiences and ideas for building inclusive and sustainable cities\, and we believe that your knowledge and experience will be valuable contributions to the discussion. \nIf you would like to participate or need additional information\, please do not hesitate to contact Program Director at BLOXHUB\, Lotte C. Breengaard\, at +45 2268 4643 or lcb@bloxhub.org. \nPlease RSVP by Friday\, May 26th.

SUMMARY:How do we strengthen the knowledge flow between the projecting part and contractors?
DESCRIPTION:Are you an engineer\, architect\, electrician or plumber\, and have you experienced challenges in handing over or receiving knowledge and information in connection with construction projects? Then join the workshop `How do we strengthen the knowledge flow between the projecting part and contractors?’. \nIn a research from 2018 about 850 technical inquiries in three different projects\, it was shown that a large number of request upon Detailed Project Reports (in Danish: TF\, entreprenørens anmodning om projektafklaring) were centered about the same topics. This proves the insufficient feedback loop in the industry\, which is providing to project failures and the ongoing deficiency from project to project. \nThe building industry has for many years tried to identify different ways to improve knowledge sharing and to reduce repetitions of failures and deficiencies in projects. In this workshop\, we will jointly learn more about\, which information needs that apply\, which challenges the actors have in handing over the knowledge to each other\, as well as finding the right tools to remedy the challenges and thus reduce project corrections\, time schedules and budget overruns. The workshop is a part of largescale project\, that aims to develop a tool that can facilitate collaboration and strengthen the knowledge flow between the projecting part and contractors. \nThe day is organized by ConTech Lab\, Værdigbyg and BLOXHUB as a facilitated process with a combination of group exercise/-discussions and inspirational presentations. \nIf you would like to participate please reach out to Program Director at BLOXHUB Lotte C. Breengaard; +45 2268 4643 / lcb@bloxhub.org.

SUMMARY:Overcoming the barriers related to the use of biobased materials in construction
DESCRIPTION:In Denmark\, building materials are estimated to account for 50-80 percent of the total climate impact of a new building\, and as a result\, there is an increased focus on the climate footprint of the materials used. We see an increasing awareness of the possibilities of using biobased materials in construction. Using wood\, hemp\, straw\, etc. with much lower CO2 emissions than materials such as concrete and steel\, holds great potential for reducing the climate footprint. Despite the advantages of using bio-based materials\, they are nevertheless often displaced by conventional ones in public and private tenders. Next to the many possibilities\, there are also several barriers to the increased use of bio-based building materials and thus the construction industry’s ability to accelerate a sustainable transition. Together with Structured Environment\, we invite you to join us for a discussion on how these materials can be integrated into construction projects seen from four different perspectives: \n\nRisk handling when designing with biobased materials where there is a lack of previous references.\nThe tendency to choose “as usual”.\nDissemination and implementation of knowledge to the entire value chain.\nThe revival of historical biobased materials and building practice.\n\nThe workshop will be a facilitated process with a mix of interdisciplinary group discussions\, co-creation sessions\, and inspirational talks by Simon Rosenvold Hvidt\, Project Manager\, Slots- og Kulturstyrelsen\, who will talk about how to use methods and materials from the past in today’s construction – Xan Browne\, Ph.D. Fellow\, KADK – Institute of Architecture and Technology will introduce us to his research regarding a circular approach to timber construction – Alexander Mollan Bohn Christiansen\, Consultant\, Dansk Standard\, will talk about how DS works with requirements regarding bio-based building materials\, and Walter Unterrainer\, Professor\, Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering\, Chalmers University of Technology will give a talk about biobased materials from an educational perspective. \nWorkshop participants consist of a wide range of stakeholders within the built environment to ensure a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to the subject. \nIf you would like to participate please reach out to Program Director at BLOXHUB Lotte C. Breengaard; +45 2268 4643 / lcb@bloxhub.org.

SUMMARY:Biophilic Design - From Research to Practice
DESCRIPTION:Together with NJORD\, BLOXHUB invites you to a workshop on biophilic design – a method\, whose fundamental aim is to create good habitats by promoting connectivity between humans and our natural environment. Biophilic design can thus be an effective intervention to improve our health. \nBut how do we translate the available evidence-based research into urban designs that actually work? The effectiveness of biophilic design depends on interventions that are connected\, complementary\, and integrated into the built environment rather than isolated or transient interventions. \nAt the workshop\, we will work on identifying measures for a more holistic adaptation of the biophilic method in our buildings and cities and discuss what measures are needed to create a symbiosis between it available knowledge/research and our urban design solutions. \nPlease contact BLOXHUB Program Director Lotte C. Breengaard for further information on how to apply: +45 2268 4643 / lcb@bloxhub.org \n_____ \nNB: The workshop is in Danish

SUMMARY:Can Public Tenders contribute to promoting Diversity and Creativity in Construction?
DESCRIPTION:Together with Arkitektforeningen we invite stakeholders from across the construction industry to join us for a discussion about which framework strengthens innovation\, the quality of the built environment\, and the client’s need for risk management. We will take a deep dive into the following questions: \nHow is the process between politicians\, developers\, and architects simplified and expectations aligned? \nHow should competence requirements be set out in the tender material to ensure architectural quality\, diversity\, and innovation? \nWhat assessment criteria can be established to judge architectural quality and creativity? \nHow do we get better at handling risk in practice\, and what could this mean for the tender framework and the conditions? \nHow to promote collaboration\, trust-building\, and a more iterative process between provider and bidder in the tender framework? \n___ \nPlease contact BLOXHUB Program Director Lotte C. SUMMARY:From Yellow Cornfields to Green Megawatts
DESCRIPTION:Planning Challenges in connection with Solar Energy \nDenmark is facing a green energy revolution that will radically change our use of land. It is one of the biggest planning challenges in recent times and it is urgent to find space for efficient and renewable energy facilities. But if Denmark is to become a beautiful\, green power plant\, we must find new and smarter ways to manage our land. Cause smart land management and happy coexistence with new energy-producing landscapes require other considerations than just space\, profitability\, and low operating costs. \nBased on selected cases workshop participants will work on formulating an overall vision and a series of ideas and instructions based on two different tracks: \n\nThe planning track: How can overall energy planning for a municipality look like? What aesthetic and landscape considerations\, legal bindings and other considerations must and can form the basis of long-term and robust physical planning?\nThe partnership track: What common vision and what common goals can be set? Which partnerships must be entered that enable an alternative placement of future solar parks?\n\nThe workshop is organized by BLOXHUB in collaboration with Schønherr Landscape Architects as a facilitated process with the participation of a wide circle of public and private stakeholders to ensure that the ideas are developed in the intersection between the greatest possible interdisciplinary and different interests. \nAs a participant\, you will actively participate in group exercises and discussions\, work with specific cases and get inspiration from selected speakers. \nWould you like to join? Please reach out to Program Director in BLOXHUB Lotte C. Breengaard for further information about the workshop and how to register: lcb@bloxhub.org / +45 2268 4643 \n___\nNB The workshop will be facilitated in Danish only \n

SUMMARY:Safe Urban Spaces for All\, Many\, Few
DESCRIPTION:Although Denmark is one of the safest countries in the World\, the Safety Survey from 2021 (Tryghedsmålingen) shows that there is reason to pay attention – the number of people feeling unsafe after dark in their immediate environment has almost doubled since 2015; from 11% to 20% in 2021. And that has consequences – for the quality of life\, for freedom of movement\, for how we use and design urban spaces. \nTogether with JUUL FROST ARCHITECTS\, we invite you to a 1-day workshop focusing on how we can increase the experience of safety in cities. At the workshop\, we will examine and challenge ideas and solutions that can be elements in an answer to how the city and urban spaces are rethought creating opportunities for social and functional diversity and security among the many users. \nThe workshop is organized by BLOXHUB as a facilitated process and the participants consist of a wide circle of stakeholders to ensure that the ideas are developed at the intersection between the greatest possible interdisciplinary and different interests. In addition to group exercises/discussions\, the day offers inspirational presentations by Ole B. Jensen from the Department of Architecture and Media Technology at Aalborg University\, Mikkel Bille from the University of Copenhagen\, Helle Juul from JUUL FROST ARCHITECTS\, and Sofie Kirt Strandbygaard from DTU Orbit. \nWould you like to know more about the workshop and how to register please contact Program Director at BLOXHUB Lotte C. SUMMARY:Multifunctional\, Safe & Resilient Playgrounds in Urban Areas - How to?
DESCRIPTION:How do we think beyond limited space making dense urban areas vibrant\, desirable\, sustainable\, and resilient with a full range of amenities? Together with Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg von Berlin and WE BUILD DENMARK we would like to invite you to a 1-day workshop where we will take a deep dive into the overall challenge of how playgrounds can be designed to be inclusive\, climate-resilient\, clean\, safe\, open\, accommodating different groups of users\, without limiting the original function of providing a protected space for children. The quest calls for creativity and the ability to design for multifunctional purposes. \nAt the workshop we will look at the challenge from four different perspectives: \n\nInclusive & barrier-free: How can playgrounds be designed inclusively and barrier-free with the involvement of different user groups – children included?\nClimate-resilient & sustainable: How can playgrounds be designed to be climate-resilient to mitigate the effects of climate change\, preserve biodiversity and allow for usability despite climatic changes?\nClean & open: How can playgrounds be designed using technical\, design and organizational elements to promote an individual sense of cleanliness and safety so that the users feel comfortable?\nFlexible & versatile: Which technical\, design\, and organizational measures can be implemented for playgrounds\, facilitating use at different times and periods without limiting the original purpose of playgrounds to be a safe space for children?\n\nThe workshop is organized by BLOXHUB and will be a facilitated process with a mix of inspirational talks\, interdisciplinary group discussions\, and co-creation sessions. Based on a specific yet representative case provided by Bezirksamt Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg von Berlin the aim of the workshop is to generate ideas and prototype solutions which can be implemented and scaled to other areas. Workshop participants consist of members from the BLOXHUB ecosystem and selected stakeholders from Berlin to ensure a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to the subject. Each group will work with one of the four perspectives and cross-pollination between the groups is included to make sure that the workshop output includes all the elements needed to solve the complex challenge. \nWould you like to join?\nPlease contact Program Director at BLOXHUB Lotte C. SUMMARY:A Roadmap for a Circular Economy within the Built Environment
DESCRIPTION:“Risk-sharing” is\, again and again\, being discussed as a critical factor in accelerating the Circular Economy within the building industry\, thus going from pilot projects to mainstream. But is there a need for the industry to broaden its understanding of the ability and willingness to work with risks in its business models? \nTogether with SKANSKA HQ (SE)\, The Bridge by Altitude (SE)\, WE BUILD DENMARK and The Embassy of Denmark in Sweden and the Embassy’s Design Impact Hub\, BLOXHUB would like to invite you to a workshop on Monday the 29th of August from 9:00 – 16:00 at BLOXHUB in Copenhagen. \nThe case of the workshop will be a specific case of Skanska from Sweden\, which will undergo the focus of the workshop. To stimulate the workshop\, we will include the incentives of an international insurance company that works with risk-sharing analysis within the building industry\, in the workshop. The workshop will use this insurance company’s perspective on integrating a risk framework into a business model to develop new business models within Circular Economy in the built environment. \nThe workshop is a facilitated process with a mix of inspirational talks\, interdisciplinary group discussions\, and co-creation sessions. Workshop participants consist of a wide range of stakeholders within the built environment – decision-makers\, practitioners\, and researchers – to ensure a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to the subject. \nWould you like to join?\nShould you have any questions or would you like to join please do not hesitate to contact Program Manager at BLOXHUB Torben Krab\, at +45 51624031 / tkr@bloxhub.org

SUMMARY:Circular Economy in the Building Industry: From Pilot to Mainstream
DESCRIPTION:During the last decade\, the Danish building industry has established a solid knowledge base within the circular economy – both when it comes to design\, materials\, and documentation. However\, these achievements have largely been achieved through pilot projects\, which in most cases have been based on financial subsidies. So how does the sector organize itself to ensure a circular economy transition from pilot projects to mainstream based on sustainable business models? \nIn partnership with Enemærke & Petersen\, Frame\, and Madaster BLOXHUB Urban Partnership would like to invite you to a one-day workshop – the first of two – to take a deep dive into this discussion. The purpose of the workshop is to establish a roadmap\, which identifies opportunities\, barriers\, legislative needs\, and business models at different stages. During the workshop\, we will work with the following two dilemmas: \n\nThe market is responding to the circular economy through an increasing demand for circular economy profiled projects. Developers have accordingly accelerated their project portfolios from a linear to a circular profile. However\, developers experience difficulties in ensuring a reliable supply of circular materials to meet this demand. How is this barrier addressed to ensure that it does not discourage larger developers’ movement from a linear to a circular business model? \nInnovation is key for the future circular economy market in Denmark. The circular economy innovation has to a large extent in the early years been driven by start-ups and smaller companies. There is a risk that\, as a response to the increasing demand from the market on the circular economy\, the large companies are the only ones able to respond to this demand. There is also a risk that larger companies will do this based on a closed business model\, which loses out on the innovation capacity that exists in the smaller companies. How can we create a circular economy market in Denmark\, where the Danish SME’s innovation capacity is integrated into a market led by the larger companies?\n\nThe workshop will result in a roadmap\, which can further stimulate and accelerate the discussion on moving the circular economy into a mainstream business concept in the Danish building industry. \nWHEN: March 4\, 9:00-16:30\, 2022\nWHERE: Fæstningens Materialgård\, Frederiksholms Kanal 30\, 1220 Copenhagen\, room: Los Angeles. \nFor further information please contact\, Program Manager\, Torben Krab\, tkr@bloxhub.org. \nPLEASE REGISTER FOR THE WORKSHOP HERE: \n \n  \n

SUMMARY:Healthy Office Buildings. Bridging the Danish and German Market
DESCRIPTION:90% of people’s time on average is spent indoors. Thus the indoor climate has a significant impact on our health and cognitive functions. Several studies show that our well-being and performance improve dramatically with higher rates of ventilation\, optimal humidity\, the right light\, noise control and well-designed spaces. BLOXHUB (Copenhagen) and Factory Hammerbrooklyn (Hamborg) would like to invite you to join a cross-disciplinary workshop discussing how we turn that knowledge into action. \nBLOXHUB and Factory Hammerbrooklyn have entered a long-term strategic partnership with the aim to foster collaborations across borders\, share and disseminate knowledge\, establish new business partnerships in the neighboring markets\, and create the best innovation lab for co-creating urban sustainable solutions. You are invited to join the first in a series of workshops under the initiative as part of the kick-off event taking place in Copenhagen November 17-18. \nThe workshop will take a deep dive into the discussion of Healthy Buildings; future designs as well as existing buildings\, based on four sub-categories: \n\nThe Future of Office Buildings: How will healthy buildings as a concept change the way we use and conceptualize buildings in the future?\nHealthy Indoor Climate: How is the full potential for healthy indoor climate achieved?\nSustainable and Smart Building Operations: How do we ensure that healthy buildings are also smart and sustainable buildings?\nSocial Communities: How can healthy buildings strengthen and support livability in the local communities they are part of?\n\nThe workshop invitees consist of Danish and German private developers\, architects\, designers\, urban development experts\, engineers\, proptech start-ups and other stakeholders within the built environment\, all representing a different perspective on the topic. You will be enriched with new business contacts\, opportunities and partnerships in the German and Danish markets and a portfolio disseminating all the workshop outputs for you to use in your own professional context. \nIf you would like to join please contact  Program Manager\, Torben Krab\, tkr@bloxhub.org.

SUMMARY:15-Minute city: Framing the Future of Urban Development
DESCRIPTION:Novo Nordisk\, Gehl and BLOXHUB invite you to a one-day workshop to take a deep-dive into how the 15-Minute City Framework can accelerate global\, impact-driven\, sustainable urban development. The 15-Minute City Framework is gaining international traction and is set to become a central piece for how cities can approach post-pandemic urban (re)development. The 15-Minute City is a recognisable framework of well-known urban development methods with the objective to nudge design processes for ambitious\, inclusive\, and measurable outcomes with citizens’ needs front and center. With a familiar set of methods and a clear vision of 15-Minute City Framework accessibility\, We know a lot about what must be done\, but less about how to do it. The workshop will explore the challenges and opportunities to working with and achieving the 15-Minute City Framework. \n\nAs a global healthcare company with a purpose to drive change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases such as obesity\, we are curious to learn how the design or redesign of a city using the 15-Minute City Framework\, built on a bottom-up engagement model\, can support urban health and well-being. We have a specific interest in increasing local capacity among the almost 40 cities in our global city network\, Cities Changing Diabetes and we hope the learnings will also be inspirational to other cities\, and thereby provide another method to help improve urban health and well-being. \n– Niels Lund\, Vice President\, Global Prevention and Health Promotion\, Novo Nordisk.\n\nThe workshop will take starting point in a series of dilemmas found in Bogotá and Colombia\, based on the release of a new report on Foodscapes conducted by Gehl and Novo Nordisk in the city’s most deprived communities. Insights from the report around access to food\, mobility\, land use planning and citizen perspectives will lay out key challenges and frame the context of the workshop that will allow participants to Ideate based on the overall question: What elements are needed to create a scalable\, analytical methodology for the 15-Minute City Framework that cities and companies working on urban development can use to create health and wellbeing? \nThe workshop will have a broad holistic perspective ranging from the collection and use of data and how this is utilized into an inclusive urban development process based on tactical urbanism. \nInteresting in joining? Please BLOXHUB’s Program Manager\, Torben Krab\, tkr@bloxhub.org for further information.
