How should we think, work, and create our cities?
We believe that the global challenges of urbanization and climate change require new ways of thinking. Therefore, we have partnered up with the AEC Hackathon Organization to create AEC Hackathon @ BLOXHUB. Here, engineers, architects, developers, cool nerds, tech experts, design thinkers, anthropologists and great minds are rethinking traditional patterns and hacking their way into a better urban future.

What is AEC Hackathon?
AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) Hackathon is an organization that, since its origin in 2013, has held events in numerous locations; e.g. Berlin, Shanghai, and Paris. It was created to give those designing, building, and maintaining our built environment the opportunity to collaborate with cutting-edge technologies and its developers and designers. Over the course of three days, teams compete against each other while trying to find solutions for the problems they face in their everyday work.
It has quickly become a community of innovators that includes all elements of the built environment, not just AEC.

TEAM DIGITAL TWIN 4 EVERY1: BEST OVERALL PROJECT
Making digital twins available to everyone. Building a bridge between physical sensors and the virtual world and back again. Demonstrate that everyone can build a digital twin of their local environment on a low budget using IoT and cloud-tech.
TEAM DELTA (FABRIFY): BEST PROJECT THAT SOLVES A BIG AEC PROBLEM
Several issues already exists in the industry for very simple building components. At the same time, a momentum in the industry has been built towards digital fabrication and integrated processes, which lead us to much more complex management solutions. To support this trend, we need to strive towards new tech that takes these as premises, instead of trying to apply legacy solutions for future problems.
TEAM THE GEEKY WATCHMEN: HONOURABLE MENTION
