BLOXHUB Groups

Building a Collaborative Future for Urban Innovation

The foundation for a more promising urban future lies in forging reliable partnerships that transcend disciplinary boundaries and bridge the gap between private and public sectors. BLOXHUB Groups is a dynamic initiative crafted to fuel knowledge exchange among diverse stakeholders working within urban development.

Our goal

BLOXHUB Groups isn’t just a concept; it’s an interactive platform tailored exclusively for BLOXHUB’s members. This platform empowers them to amplify their network, uncover latent business prospects, and actively engage in a curated, professional forum. This dynamic forum is a breeding ground for insightful discussions, profound collaborations, and the collaborative evolution of the industry itself.

OUR GROUPS

The BLOXHUB Groups initiative aims to facilitate business development and exchange expertise among its members. Each themed group will comprise a dedicated steering committee of 3-4 individuals and a broader assembly of 15-20 regular members. These groups will convene for meetings throughout the year, with the specific frequency being determined by the members themselves. Additionally, once annually, the entire group will participate in a special event, providing a platform to disseminate the valuable knowledge and insights generated.

Spatial Design and Activation

Our shared expertise in Spatial Design and Urban Activation demonstrates the diverse skills of our members.

Spatial Design, a new interdisciplinary field, integrates elements from architecture, landscape, interior, urban, service design, and public art, offering a holistic approach to design thinking. Urban Activation focuses on enlivening spaces through human engagement, from retail to events to virtual environments, to drive change on climate change and advance the SDGs.

This year, we’ve been putting theory into practice. We’ve hosted an international architecture group, celebrated Earth Day on a virtual platform, and even had a brainstorming session on the Copenhagen Climate Plan. These activities are theoretical exercises and real-world applications of our shared expertise in Spatial Design and Urban Activation.

The group meets bi-monthly to exchange knowledge, tackle challenges, and develop sustainable spatial design initiatives.

Nature Based Solutions

The Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) group is a community of designers and professionals committed to integrating nature into their work. Whether it’s using natural materials like hay, moss, or mycelium, or drawing on the principles of natural systems and processes, we welcome anyone interested in a nature-first approach to tackling professional challenges. At its heart, the group is about learning from one another – sharing insights, experiences, and knowledge around NBS. We also aim to raise awareness and appreciation of nature-based thinking through talks, workshops, and collaborative exploration of ideas and projects.

The Blue Plan

The group works holistically to promote long-term, sustainable urban and nature development, integrating climate adaptation with architecture, aesthetics, community, and inclusion, aligned with the New European Bauhaus vision.

It explores the structural layers shaping societal priorities today, from behavior and technology to regulation, while addressing barriers that hinder cross-sector collaboration.

The focus is on building strong interdisciplinary dialogue, trust-based collaboration, and actionable insights, including follow-up on the group’s five key recommendations.

Regenerative Resources for a Living Future

How do we design for life? How do we create solutions that not only minimize harm but actively heal—relationships, ecosystems, communities, and material flows?

In this lecture series, we invite visionary thinkers and practitioners from Denmark and abroad, working on the frontlines of the regenerative movement. Drawing on nature’s intelligence, circular design principles, social regeneration, and planet-centered urban development, they explore new pathways for design, innovation, and leadership in a time when everything is interconnected—and everything is changing.

Through lively stories, practical examples, and dialogue, we open up a deeper understanding of what it means to design in harmony with life itself. This lecture series is both a thought-provoking input and an invitation to join a growing movement for systemic change and regenerative culture.

Welcome to a journey where design becomes a healing force.
