RESUMÉ

The aim is to enable the use of new supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in concrete. SCMs partially replace cement to lower the CO2 emissions from concrete production and promote circular construction. In this respect, new SCMs should not negatively affect the durability of concrete structures. This project experimentally investigates how SCMs can contribute to triggering or mitigating alkali-silica reaction (ASR) in concrete. The results will be used to propose new acceptance criteria for such materials.
