REGENERATE Future

Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies and BLOXHUB invite you to the final event in the series Regenerate Now, and our continued exploration of a regenerative world and the reimagination of our cities. 

To regenerate means not only to do less harm, but to become a positive force that restore, renew, regrow, and revitalise and that give back more than we take, just like the many ecological systems we can find and experience in nature. Through the previous events we have discussed how to regenerate our cities, culture and architecture and explored how we can create a regenerative world that works within the planetary boundaries and ecological systems.  

In this event, we look towards the future and explore how we can move towards a regenerative transformation of our planet and what action we can take today to create a world where humankind, nature and our cities can all thrive and flourish both now and for future generations.   

Get enlightened by experts through a talk and a panel discussion:

Stefano Ponte, professor of International Political Economy at Copenhagen Business School. Stefano is primarily interested in transnational economic and environmental governance, with focus on overlaps and tensions between private authority and public regulation and conducts research on global value chains and sustainability. 

Geanne Van Arkel, chair of the supervisory board of Thematic Technology Transfer on circular technology and a fellow of the Governance & Sustainability Center at The Conference Board. Geanne works in the field of regenerative strategic business development based on holistic system thinking and biomimicry design thinking. 

Arthur Huang, Co-founder, and CEO of Miniwiz. Arthur is a structural engineer, architect and pioneer of loop economy building material solutions, specialized in post-consumer trash recycling applications to help shift mass consumption to a close-loop model.  

Finn Williams, City Architect of Malmö. Finn works focus on turning Malmö into a role model for inclusive urban development in the future with long-term and sustainable architecture and urban planning and democratic design.
