With COP28 on the horizon, a central focus will be on acknowledging nature as a cornerstone of climate action, especially concerning CO2 reduction. 

 Nature-based solutions can potentially mitigate up to 25% of CO2 emissions in urban areas. This underscores the critical need for global political attention and emphasizes the importance of these solutions in achieving the ambitious targets outlined in the Paris Agreement, thereby positively impacting our communities, economy, and overall wellbeing.

 Mike Ameko Lippert, Strategy Director at SLA, will kick-start the discussion with an introduction to a nature-based approach to urban design. The focus is on creating spaces that enhance biodiversity, support climate mitigation and adaptation, and simultaneously accelerate human wellbeing.
