Every year, BLOXHUB conducts a Resident Survey at the end of the calendar year to gain insights into the experience of our community. These insights form the foundation for how we continue to develop BLOXHUB as a place for collaboration, innovation, and a positive everyday workplace experience.
The survey helps us understand not only where we perform well, but also where friction points exist and improvements are needed. This year in order to strenghten the transparency of our initiatives we are providing this article showcasing feedback and initiatives taken. The article is structured after the original survey and each section will be divided into: Data, Feedback and Intitiatives. For the Feedback section we take the two most frequently commented notions.
This year, 56% of resident organisations responded, marking a 5% increase from 2024 and providing a strong foundation for meaningful insights.
The overall satisfaction score reached 4.3 out of 5, up from 4.2 in 2024 and matching the highest level recorded since 2020.
Facility
Facility ratings show a general increase across categories, particularly reflecting high satisfaction with cleaning standards. While the BLOX building continues to score slightly higher than FMG, both buildings show similar patterns. Some challenges remain within the indoor environment, particularly regarding temperature stability (3.5 in BLOX and 3.3 in FMG) and acoustics (3.3 in BLOX and 3.0 in FMG), highlighting areas where further improvements are needed.
Initiatives
- We have just aquired full access to the CTS system in both buildings which enables improved control of indoor climate, including temperature and lighting
- More phone booths are being purchases
- More signing has been put in place for House rules
- Europe: A new mid-sized, flexible and more acoustically contained space has been introduced at the beginning of the year
- Catering quality and service have been strengthened by adding a BLOXHUB catering service for meeting rooms, now residents can choose amongst BLOXHUB catering and BLOX EATS catering via the booking system.
Activities and Events
Satisfaction with activities and events has increased over the past years, reaching 4.0 out of 5 in 2025 (at a consistent increase of 0.1 per year since 2022).
The BLOXHUB Breakfast continues to be the most attended and highly rated format, alongside the Christmas Party, both scoring 4.5 out of 5.
While many residents engage actively, 60% have not yet used the self-hosting event service. Among those who have, the experience is generally positive, with catering identified as the main area for improvement.
Member: “Arena is not really that nice for hosting, if many people are talking and walking outside, it is hard to hear anything then. There is missing a larger closed off venue, either Arena or Athens, where it can be fully closed (because otherwise you only have Los Angeles which is often booked or too big).”
BLOXHUB: “We now have our new conference room Europe, that is a perfect room for a lager event.”
Initiatives
- The launch of BLOXHUB SQUARE provides a central platform for event overview at BLOXHUB
- Europe: A new mid-sized, flexible and more acoustically contained space has been introduced at the beginning of the year
Communication
Communication channels scored 3.8 out of 5, with in-house screens remaining the most frequently used source of information, followed by direct interaction with the BLOXHUB team and the newsletter.
However, feedback indicates a need for clearer and more accessible overviews of events and activities.
Initiatives
- The launch of BLOXHUB SQUARE provides a central platform for communication, event overview, and community interaction
- Increased focus on direct and accessible communication between residents and the BLOXHUB team
Networking Opportunities
Networking opportunities scored 3.5 out of 5, with many respondents indicating limited awareness or participation.
When engagement does occur, it leads to tangible outcomes such as participation in events, workshops, and even collaborative projects. This highlights a strong potential that can be further activated through clearer formats and communication.
The perceived value of the community space scored 3.2 out of 5, indicating an opportunity to further strengthen how shared spaces are activated and experienced.
Member: “Better introduction to and overview of networking opportunities. How it works, how to get started etc.”
BLOXHUB: “We book a meeting with every new member as they are onboarded. Regarding networking opportunities we urge you to join SQUARE our digital platform as you can see our residents and members there and also get access to our networking groups.”
Initiatives
- We introduced new formats such as Social Lunch, Member Speed Meet etc…
- There is open calls via SQUARE to establish resident-driven networking groups
- Establishment of the Resident Advisory Circle, enabling closer dialogue and ongoing feedback from residents (tfo@bloxhub.org)
The BLOXHUB Team
The BLOXHUB team remains one of the strongest assets of the community, scoring 4.5 out of 5. Residents highlight the team’s helpfulness, responsiveness, and overall support as a key part of their positive experience.
Final words
The 2025 resident survey confirms that BLOXHUB continues to evolve positively as a workplace and community. At the same time, it reinforces the importance of clear communication, accessible networking opportunities, and well-functioning shared spaces.
We continually aim to improve and ensure that BLOXHUB remains a valuable hub for its residents and will ask for your feedback with the next survey in December 2026.
