The winner of recent Build Back Circular Call from BLOXHUB & Danish Cleantech Hub, NY, is Barnard College.

Barnard College has been selected from a group of New York companies and organizations for their project of rethinking campus living and creating the first Circular Campus in the US:

“We are thrilled to partner with BLOXHUB to develop a holistic framework that reduces emissions and enhances the student experience”, says Sandra Goldmark, Director, Campus Sustainability and Climate Action, Barnard College.

BLOXHUB, the Nordic Hub for sustainable urbanization, will match Barnard College with companies from the BLOXHUB Community and facilitate a process to help create solutions based on circular principles to reduce waste, emissions, and costs, transform consumption patterns on campus, and increase access and affordability for students.

Identifying a Circular Campus model

In the process, BLOXHUB and Barnard College will bring together all critical components and create ideas and concept solutions for the Barnard college campus that can be applied to other schools and campuses.

“It is wonderful to work with such an interesting and bold challenge.
